Sally Hardy

What subjects do you teach?

All aspects of flower arranging.

How many years have you been teaching?

Twelve years.  I also became a National Teacher for the National Association of Flower Arranging Societies (NAFAS) four years ago.  I have had the privilege of arranging flowers in Westminster Abbey. I have competed at top level at The Chelsea Flower Show. For the past twelve years, I have been an Area Demonstrator for NAFAS for London and overseas, Surrey and Berkshire, and Buckingham and Oxfordshire.

What do you enjoy about teaching adults?

I am passionate about the subject and there is always more to learn!  I love passing on my knowledge, expertise, ideas and advice to people, who, I hope, will come to appreciate this subject as much as I do.

What got you into flower arranging?

I have always enjoyed flowers. My late mother was a Constance Spry trained arranger and after joining a Flower Club, my enthusiasm has just grown and continues to grow.

What other passions do you have?

Gardening, knitting, reading and learning new skills to enhance my flower arranging capabilities.

Why should someone join your classes?

Students can learn and enjoy creating dynamic flower designs.  They can delight in the pleasure that arranging brings through flowers, fun and friendship.
