National Art and Design Saturday Club

Course overview

The National Art and Design Club gives young people aged 13–16 the opportunity to study art and design every Saturday morning at their local college or university for free.

As well as benefiting from 16 weeks of inspiring classes, students exhibit work in their own Summer Show at Somerset House, London.

They are also given the opportunity to attend a master class from one of the UK’s most influential artists or designers.

Dates: 7,14 Oct, 4,11,18,25 Nov, 2,9,16 Dec, 13,20,27 Jan, 3 and 24 Feb, 2,9,16,23 March

Club members will receive 60–70 hours of expert tuition which includes the opportunity to take part in a wide range of stimulating activities based in Banbury and Bicester College’s specialist facilities, workshops and studios.

Areas you will learn about include: photography (darkroom and digital), graphic design, animation, printmaking, textiles, fashion, ceramics, 3D, painting and drawing.

Club members will receive 60–70 hours of expert tuition which includes the opportunity to take part in a wide range of stimulating activities.

There are no formal assessments for this course.

There are no entry requirements for this course.

This course will nurture your talent, build your confidence and self-esteem, while providing you insight into college life. You will be better prepared for a pathway into further and higher education and to careers in the creative industries.
