Pottery and Ceramics for All

Course overview

This is a part-time pottery course in which you will learn a wide range of ceramic processes in our well-equipped studio.

Beginners will be shown how to produce work using hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, slab-building, potters’ moulds, and the potters’ wheel. In addition, you will be supported and encouraged to develop a confident understanding and use of clay qualities, making techniques, decorative skills, and glazing.

Returning learners are encouraged to build on their skill base to design and achieve more complex and refined work inspired by their interests and personal goals.

You’ll learn in a relaxed and supportive environment with experienced teachers and excellent facilities.

Once fired in the kiln, you will be able to take away your own handmade pieces.

Please note: The listed fees cover teaching and the use of the facilities. You will be required to pay additional charges for bisque and glaze firing of your work.

This course runs term-time only.
