Make a Wooden Framed Wall Mirror: Traditional Hand-tool Woodworking, 6-Week Beginners

Course overview

A great introduction to woodworking and traditional hand-tool techniques

This woodwork course for beginners will introduce you to traditional hand-tool techniques to create an attractive and useful wooden-framed-wall-hanging mirror of your own custom design.

Working with solid hardwood in a relaxed, fun and supportive learning environment, you will learn to prepare and dimension components and master a range of joinery techniques and use of the machine router.

Quiet and methodical by nature, hand-tool woodworking can be a very mindful activity,  and we hope you will find this course relaxing, fun, and informative. At the end of the course, you will take home the mirror that you have made and will hopefully have gained the skills and confidence to pursue further woodworking projects and/or attend another of our classes.

This course is led by experienced, qualified tutor, Ben Cairns-Foster, and is held in the fully-equipped workshops of the renowned Rycotewood Furniture Centre. Places are limited to a maximum of twelve learners, and all materials and equipment are provided.
