Course overview
Escape the indoors and spend time in the beautiful surroundings of
Merrist Wood College.
Whether you’re looking to learn new gardening skills, enjoy being outdoors,
meet new people or simply make time for yourself each week, our Gardening for
Wellbeing course offers a friendly and supportive environment to do just
that.
This is much more than a gardening course. It’s an opportunity to enjoy fresh
air, stay active, learn new skills and become part of a welcoming community of
people who share similar interests.
Set within the stunning grounds of Merrist Wood College, each session offers
a chance to slow down, connect with nature and enjoy the satisfaction of helping
gardens and green spaces thrive.
Who is this course for?
Anyone aged 19+ with an interest in gardening, nature and learning new skills
in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Funding
Free places are available for eligible learners. Funding criteria apply.

You will gain:

You will need an interest in gardening and working outdoors.
All participants will need to provide their own appropriate outdoor clothing, protective footwear and gardening gloves.
Please Note: Priority will be given to new applicants. Applications from previous students attending Community Wellbeing courses at Merrist Wood will be considered, subject to availability.
