Sewing: Copy your favourite clothes! A pattern making course
Course overview
Join us for a great introduction to simple pattern making.
Ideal for those with some garment sewing experience and knowledge of garment construction who are looking to recreate a favourite garment without taking it apart. This course is not suitable for complete sewing beginners.
You will learn basic pattern-making skills to trace and copy a simple garment, creating a paper pattern for you to use again and again.
By the end of this course, you will have copied two simple articles of clothing. A basic t-shirt and a second project of choice (to be approved for suitability by your tutor, see notes below). You will discuss how to adapt a pattern to individualise your garment design.
You’ll benefit from working in a small group with lots of individual attention, delivered in well-equipped and professional workshops, guided by expert tutor Helen Cauvy-Foster.
