David began his woodworking career studying City and Guilds in Furniture Making at Newark College. After working in the industry for a few years, he is now studying for a BA in Furniture Design at Rycotewood and is currently in his final year. He has a passion for creating fine furniture with a particular interest in mid-century modern design.
He’s worked with adult learners at both Newark College and Rycotewood and has been teaching evening courses at Rycotewood for the past year. He is passionate about sharing knowledge and building students’ confidence.
This year, David will be teaching several projects including the dovetailed tote and box, shaker table, windowsill planter and the National Craft & Making Saturday Club.
When not studying or teaching, he enjoys playing music and has a passion for acoustic guitars.
