Courtney Drummond teaches at both the Reading and City of Oxford Campuses, on the Award Level 3, Education and Training, Foundation Degree in Education and Bachelor of Arts in Education and Lifelong Learning programmes.
“Originally from Canada, I ventured to the UK in 2015, where my passion for creativity and alternative education were put to use teaching those who were resitting their GCSE and Functional Skills English at college.
I have been in education since 2007 and have had many diverse teaching experiences at all levels from Primary to Higher Education with specific focuses on English, History and Anthropology.”
From Drummond’s experience teaching those who need support retaking their GCSEs, she drew upon experiences working in trauma informed schools.
“I have a particular interest in the importance of creating engaging learning environments that promote relationship building, support the differentiated curriculum and help everyone achieve their personal goals.
