Christine Rogers

What subjects do you teach?

I teach all aspects of drawing and painting. Currently I run classes in watercolour, acrylics and oils, and mixed-ability  art classes.

How many years have you been teaching?

I have been teaching adult classes in art for Bracknell and Wokingham College for nine years.

What do you enjoy about teaching adults?

I really enjoy helping learners find their creativity along with developing their drawing and painting skills. They are often surprised in what they can achieve.

What got you into art?

I used to be a professional graphic designer and  illustrator,  but lately I have turned towards focusing on my own art and teaching.  I have been an art materials demonstrator for Daler-Rowney and Derwent Pencils and have run workshops for Hobbycraft and numerous art societies. I’ve also had step-by-step articles published in  The Artist and Artists and Illustrators magazines.

What other passions do you have?

My other passions are gardening, exploring new places as inspiration for my art, and all things equestrian.

Why should someone join your classes?

Join my classes if you want to have fun being creative, whilst learning  how to use different mediums and exploring different techniques all in a relaxed, supportive and friendly atmosphere.
