Tessa’s love of material exploration means she plays with the boundaries of traditional ideas of jewellery to create unique pieces that you will treasure.
After completing her HND in Jewellery and Silversmithing, Tessa went on to design fashion jewellery for high street brands. This exposed her to the history of jewellery design as well as contemporary trends, ultimately leading her to Australia, where she pursued a Degree in Visual Art. Once back in the UK, she undertook a Master’s in Design.
Tessa’s love of material exploration means she plays with the boundaries of traditional ideas of jewellery to create pieces that incorporate anodised aluminium, acrylic, beads, as well as untraditional means of colouring her metals, such as wax crayons and spray paint.
“I’m passionate about jewellery designing and making. I still get the biggest kick when an idea and a sketch become a beautiful object to wear. The way I approach it is to have fun to find the joy in discovering what inspires you and to learn new skills and gain confidence through the process.”
