Sara Roberts – Creative Writing Tutor

Sara loves helping people to find their own voice and gain confidence with their writing.

Sara Roberts is a Franco-British writer and teacher with a global outlook and a love for working collaboratively on creative projects. She has been writing screenplays for several years, though she still enjoys writing prose and particularly short-form fiction. She loves running creative writing workshops and classes, and helping people to find their own voice and gain confidence with their writing. Sara is leading our Introduction to Creative Writing course.

In her own writing, Sara is especially interested in women’s stories and exploring themes such as dysfunctional relationships and families, motherhood, madness, nature, and the dehumanising effects of institutions.

Her screenplays have placed her in a number of competitions, both in the UK and US, and she wrote, co-directed and co-produced her first short film last year, ‘SEED’, which is currently beginning its journey on the film festival circuit.
