Computerised Accounting for Business Level 2: Online

Course overview

This course is suitable for individuals who have completed Computerised Accounting Level 1 and have a basic understanding of what is involved in the process of keeping books and financial records. You will develop the skills involved in using Sage software from the very beginning. You will progress to learn more about the software’s functionality, including producing invoices and management accounts.

This is an excellent resource for small business owners and self-employed individuals, enabling them to manage their own accounts instead of outsourcing their accounting needs.

  • Set up a new accounting system
  • Process journal entries, bad debts and learn about discounts
  • Produce electronic invoices, remittances and statements
  • Create detailed management reports to help control a business and increase profitability
  • Improve credit and budget control
  • Ensure data security and how to keep your system and information fully protected

You will have access to the Sage Online Learning platform and be able to learn at your own pace, but with unit deadlines to structure the course, which is to be completed in 24 weeks. With no class to attend, you have the flexibility of learning at a time that suits you and fits around work and family commitments.

You will complete online self-assessments and practice tests, followed by two final online assessments. You will be required to attend a 1-1 session with the tutor before you undertake your final assessment.

On successful completion, you will be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Computerised Accounting for Business.
