This is a fully online, self-directed, independent study course with assessor support and guidance. Students must have use of a laptop to complete this course and must be aged 19+ at the beginning of the academic year (31 August).

This 24-week course has a flexible start date and will run until 31 July 2026. 

This course operates flexible start dates, with the opportunity to start every few weeks. New dates are available until July 2026. Your actual start date will be confirmed at induction 

Eligibility Criteria – this course is FREE if you: 

  • are aged 19+ 
  • have been in the EU for three years for purposes other than study (and able to provide documentation) 
  • are not currently enrolled on an apprenticeship 

This certification aims to broaden your knowledge of business improvement techniques, including streamlining the workplace, building effective teams, and fostering productive work connections. It also highlights the importance of refining procedures and protocols by implementing visual management systems and flow process analysis.

This course contains six units:

  • Safe and effective teamwork
  • Principles and techniques that support workplace organisation
  • An understanding of continuous improvement techniques (Kaizen) and their application in the workplace
  • How to use visual management systems
  • Problem-solving techniques
  • How to carry out flow process analysis
