Freddie has discovered a passion for working with hand tools and for intricate veneer work; he’s eager to share his skills.
Freddie’s passion for woodworking began in 2018 when he joined a home education club taught by an ex-carpenter who taught basic joinery, which, led to the students building a table for the local community centre’s use.
In 2021 he started at Colchester Institute studying Carpentry and Joinery at Level 1 and later went on to complete Levels 2 and 3 in Furniture Design and Kaking. Whilst studying at college he worked in industry, building kitchens at a local factory for a year and a half, which helped him to progress his skills and knowledge around the craft.
After finishing college, Freddie moved to Oxford to study for a degree in Furniture Design and Making and whilst studying, has discovered a passion for working with hand tools and for intricate veneer work.
