“I love the creative problem solving, and the diversity of projects people work on.”
Caz has been teaching Mindful Art and Ceramics for four years.
What she most enjoys about teaching adults is the creative problem-solving and the diversity of projects people work on. Coming from a secondary teaching background where learners tend to work on similar projects, she finds it exciting to see where people will take the material next. For those who are less confident, she enjoys helping them unlock the creativity that many believe they don’t have within them.
Caz’s love of pottery began when she studied a craft course at university that involved ceramics, glassblowing and metal work. She was fascinated by the versatility of ceramics and enjoyed pushing the material to its physical limits with experimental work.
Whether you’re a seasoned potter or brand new to the craft, Caz’s goal as a teacher is to facilitate confidence in independent working; through teaching the basics, to experimenting with new techniques and design ideas in a supportive, non-judgemental environment.
