Nature Crafts: Reconnect through mindful crafting (WHH)

Course overview

Join us for a journey into the world of nature-inspired crafts.

Rooted in seasonal rhythms and traditional techniques, this course offers a gentle, creative space to explore natural materials, learn new skills, and deepen your connection to the earth. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced crafter, you’ll leave each session with something beautiful, meaningful, and handmade.

Over the weeks, you’ll explore:

  • The Celtic Wheel of the Year and how seasonal cycles inspire creativity
  • Foraging and preserving natural materials like leaves and flowers
  • Creating natural inks and paints from plants and minerals
  • Crafting with willow, nettles, brambles, and handmade paper
  • Techniques for making mandalas, earth candles, wreaths, and more
  • The mindful benefits of working with your hands and nature

No prior experience needed – all levels welcome.

Our mindful crafting sessions are relaxed, supportive, and community-focused, led by Selina Hogarth.

Each session blends gentle teaching, hands-on crafting, and time outdoors (weather permitting). You’ll be guided step-by-step through each project, with space to explore your own creativity. We’ll use foraged and sustainable materials wherever possible, and you’ll build a personal “nature library” of pressed flowers and leaves to use throughout the course.

Please dress for the weather and outdoor foraging!

All basic materials provided, with optional extras to bring:

  • a notebook or sketchbook for ideas and notes
  • a basket or cloth bag for foraging
  • scissors or secateurs (if you have them)
  • an apron or old shirt for messy sessions
  • any personal natural finds you’d like to use (optional)

Do explore our wide range of courses and continue your creative journey.

Refreshments are available to purchase onsite, if required.
