Life Drawing 1: The Beginning
The sessions will be led by a professional artist who has a passion for drawing the human form. A professional life model will be present to enable students to practise life model drawing. This course will enable anyone to develop their skills in drawing.
There are a limited number of FREE places available on this course, for those aged 19 and over (at the start of the course) and who either have a mental health condition or difficulty, are employed and earning an annual salary less than £17,004 per annum, in receipt of state benefit in your own name and unemployed or working and earning less than £338 per month (or £541 for household claims), are a single parent, or have a social or emotional difficulty.
The course covers the basics of observational drawing, which will be improved upon each week. if you are more experienced, there will be tutoring to further your abilities. You will be working from a live model(s), both male and female, that will be unclothed. Each week there will be an area of focus, such as proportion or shading and line
You will gain a better understanding of the human form, and greater skill at drawing it.

This course runs for five consecutive weeks. Materials are provided.
There is no formal assessment.
A selection of materials and paper is provided. If you would like to bring your own materials, you are more than welcome to do so!
