Georgia loves to see the diverse projects that evolve throughout her sessions, as well as the positive effect that working with clay has on her students’ wellbeing.
After graduating from Plymouth University in 2016 with a Degree in 3D Design, Georgia went on to teach pottery at an American Summer Camp. It was here that she discovered her love for the potters’ wheel and teaching. She has been working with clay for nearly ten years.
Georgia has recently relocated from Plymouth, where she had a home pottery studio. There, she made functional wheel-thrown pottery which she sold through shops and markets. She also taught throwing lessons from her studio and facilitated clay workshops in local secondary schools. She is now working as a Production Thrower alongside teaching classes at Activate Learning.
Whether you are new to pottery or have been making for a long time, Georgia aims to create a relaxed and supportive environment, where students can develop their knowledge, experiment and make pottery that they are truly proud of. Georgia finds teaching incredibly rewarding; she loves to see the diverse projects that evolve throughout the sessions, as well as the positive effect that working with clay has on her students’ wellbeing.
