Crafting with the Seasons
Course overview
Transform Nature’s Bounty into Decorative Arts and Crafts
Immerse yourself in the art of seasonal crafting in this hands-on course. Crafting with the Seasons invites you to explore creative techniques using natural materials that change with the seasons—from windfall branches and leaves, to flowers, fruits and foliage—you’ll learn how to transform nature’s bounty into decorative arts and crafts.
Over 5 weekly sessions, you’ll discover traditional methods that have connected people to the natural world for generations and celebrate the beauty of nature’s changing palette. Using readily available, gently foraged or home-harvested materials, we will experiment with different techniques each week. These will include weaving with natural fibres, making plant-based inks, creating botanical inks, and preserving flowers.
Perfect for beginners and those with some crafting experience, this course offers a relaxing and creative environment where you can explore sustainable materials and methods, and create natural decor to take home or give as gifts.
