Alternative Photographic Processes

You’ll Learn:

• Cyanotype Printing — Create stunning, blue-toned images using this 19th-century sun-printing process. This low-toxicity, iron-based technique can be continued at home after learning the fundamentals.
• Darkroom Photograms — Transform ordinary objects into extraordinary abstract images by placing them directly onto photographic paper. Master the use of an enlarger and traditional silver photo chemistry to develop your unique creations.
• Pinhole Photography — Capture dreamlike images with this fundamental photographic technique. Experience the thrill of developing your photographs in our darkroom.

Throughout the course, we’ll engage in thoughtful discussions about artistic approaches and explore ways to incorporate these techniques into your broader creative practice.

You’ll learn through practical demonstrations and hands-on experimentation. This course emphasises individual creativity and exploration in a supportive environment.

• All necessary materials and safety equipment will be provided

• Please wear clothing suitable for artistic work or bring an apron

• Remember to bring refreshments to enjoy during breaks
