Stitch and Flip: Reversible Tote Bag Workshop (WHH)

You’ll cover: 

• How to select complementary fabrics for a reversible project 

• Proper measurement and cutting techniques 

• Creating and attaching sturdy handles that work from both sides 

• Clean finishing methods for reversible items 

• Basic to intermediate machine sewing techniques 

• Professional finishing touches 

• Customisation options to make your tote uniquely yours 

This workshop runs from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.

There is an emphasis on hands-on, supportive learning in a relaxed environment. After a brief demonstration, you’ll dive right into creating your own bag with personalised guidance from our experienced instructor. 

Morning session: Fabric selection discussion, pattern layout, cutting, and beginning construction. 

Afternoon session: Completing construction, adding handles, and finishing techniques. 

You’ll benefit from: 

• Small group size 

• Step-by-step instruction with plenty of time for Q&A and troubleshooting 

All sewing machines and specialised equipment will be provided. 

No prior sewing experience required, though basic familiarity with sewing machines is helpful. 

You will need to bring: 

• 1 yard each of two complementary medium-weight cotton fabrics (quilting cotton works well) or we can provide fabric at a cost of an additional £5 (please bring cash) 

• Your lunch and refreshments 

Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. 

After mastering the reversible tote bag, you can continue developing your skills by enrolling on our Creative Sewing Adventures courses or monthly Saturday workshops. 

Free parking is available onsite.
