I teach German.
I have been teaching for 14 years.
I love German language and enjoy teaching motivated adults who also have a passion to learn German and develop their language knowledge/skills.
At school I opted for German, as well as French and English. My German teacher was a great character who made learning German fun! It was his passion and enthusiasm that inspired me to continue learning the language at university, to then go on to use my German in business, and later to teach German to all ages.
I love French too, having also taught the subject in primary and secondary school. My love of languages and interest in the similarities between different languages has been furthered through my enjoyment of travel and desire to learn more about other countries and cultures. Other passions include walking, running and cycling in the countryside; as well as skiing and playing tennis; music and dancing; and playing piano and keyboard in my local Church band.
I aim to make my German lessons fun, varied and interactive. I like to create an environment where we are not afraid to have a go and not worried about making mistakes–this is how we learn! In my classes, we practice all four language skills (speaking and listening, reading and writing) to enable us to learn, understand and use the language better and quicker.
