Before you join us in September, we’ll be sure to keep you up to date via email and the occasional phone call too, so it's a good idea to add our number to your contacts!
Below, we’ve compiled a list of questions you might have, and links for you to access the information that will help you to to prepare for September. If your question isn't covered, please give us a call on 0800 612 6008. Whatever is worrying you, we can help.
We are excited to invite you to access a Pre-Arrival Academic Questionnaire that will contribute to enhancing your learning experience at Activate Learning.
Your input is invaluable in helping us understand your learning needs and expectations. Through this questionnaire, you will also have the opportunity to reflect on your previous learning experiences and identify areas where you can further develop your skills to succeed.
Click on the link provided below to access and complete the questionnaire prior to starting your course: https://forms.office.com/e/7avyFJ7FLG
Your next step is to complete your online enrolment form, to let us know you are taking up the place we offered you. At Activate Learning, your happiness and success is our priority. Your mental and physical wellbeing is equally as important to us as your studies.
You'll find details of the range of dedicated services that we provide on our Higher Education Support page.
Activate Learning recognises that funding is a big part of your decision to embark on a higher education programme. You will be aware of, should budget for, and be able to meet, all of the pre-requisite costs associated with your course, eg course fees, cost of necessary materials or activities (such as personal therapy for Counselling students) and regular travel to and from college.
You'll find details of a range of bursaries that are available, along with a choice of payment methods in our funding section.
As part of our guarantee to enable new students to work efficiently, whether on campus or remotely, we have set up a buy your own device scheme to enable all students to buy a laptop or tablet. We want everyone to have access to the right equipment even if they aren’t physically at college. So, we’ve teamed up with two companies, Academia and Dell, who can support you with buying a new device.
There is a choice of devices available for you to choose from and the option to pay via a payment plan, so you can spread the cost. The devices are sold as bundles which includes a case and a warranty and the option to add insurance should you wish to do so.

For those of you who already have your own devices, you will be encouraged to bring them into college to help reduce the demand for computers in the Learning Environments. However, if you would prefer not to bring your own device from home, please don't worry, as you will still be able to book time in Learning Environments as needed. This equipment will be cleaned regularly as part of our cleaning process.
We’re really looking forward to you starting college with us in September and want to make this transition as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about the device scheme or anything else, please contact us.
We are no longer enrolling for courses starting in 2023.
Induction Week is the first week of the first term for new students. It can also include continuing students, and is designed to help you settle in and adjust to college life.
In the meantime, you can contact us on 0800 612 6008, or you can email us at he@activatelearning.ac.uk
