Quilting – social group
Course overview
This group welcomes anyone who is interested in patchwork and quilting, and wants to advance their skills alongside other quilters.
Students will have time to work on their projects, share tips and tricks, and meet fellow quilters. An experienced quilting tutor is on hand to answer any questions, help you plan and execute your project, and teach you new skills.
The tutor will offer weekly demonstrations of materials and techniques suited to the interest and abilities of the group.
This group is a great opportunity to see what everyone is working on, look at different fabric collections and get inspiration for your next project. You are welcome to join if you have completed any previous quilting courses and need a bit more time and space to finish a previous project, or if you are a confident sewer who is just getting started with quilting.
Sewing machines and basic sewing kits are provided, although you may bring along your own if you prefer.
You will need to bring the following materials for classes:
- Rotary cutter and quilting ruler, in inches
- Fabric you would like to use
- High-quality thread
- Pen and paper
Alternatively enrol by phone quoting OXAEL92DC or ask a question
Meet the tutors
We want our learners to feel welcome, safe and at ease when attending our classes, especially if this is your first time attending an adult education class or if you're coming back to education after a break.
If you're interested in one of courses, meet our tutors first! You'll see they have similar passions and interests and, most importantly, the right qualifications to help you make the most of your time and money.
