This City & Guilds qualification will allow you to develop and practise the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for a career in the thriving construction industry.
The course will cover:
- fundamental safe working practices
- structure of the construction industry
- site preparation for working in the construction industry
- environmental and sustainability measures in domestic dwellings
- above-ground drainage
- copper pipework
- plastic pressure pipework
- low-carbon steel pipework
- installation, repair and maintenance of plumbing systems
- plumbing science
A portfolio is supplied that needs to be completed by the candidate, with their practical and theoretical evidence
On successful completion you will be awarded: Level 1 Diploma in Plumbing
You will need a good level of maths and English, ideally at GCSE Grade 3 or above.
You will need safety footwear and normal study equipment.
You could advance your studies and progress to a Level 2 City & Guilds Plumbing course or move straight into the heart of the industry with an apprenticeship.
