Course overview
This qualification introduces the knowledge and understanding needed to work in a school or college environment. This can be applied to the many varied support staff roles that involve working directly with children and young people in the learning environment. These may be on a full-time or a part-time basis and may include:
- administrative roles
- site support roles
- technical roles
- volunteering
You must be 19+ years old and willing to complete the qualifications. In addition, you need to have good English communication skills and access to the internet.
This course is entirely online. Therefore, the lessons will take place using our online platform.

There will be six units to complete.
On successful completion, you will be awarded a Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools and Colleges.

Units will be internally assessed using various methods, including written assignments or tasks such as designing a leaflet or booklet, charts or diagrams, or setting up an information board.

This is a knowledge-only qualification. Learners do not need to work or undertake practical placements to take this qualification.
You will require access to a PC or laptop and the internet.
There is a direct progression route to a Level 3 Certificate or Diploma in Support Work in Schools and Colleges.
