Course overview

There are a limited number of FREE places available on this course, for those aged 19 and over (at the start of the course) and who either have a mental health condition or difficulty, are employed and earning an annual salary less than £17,004 per annum, in receipt of state benefit in your own name and unemployed or working and earning less than £338 per month (or £541 for household claims), are a single parent, or have a social or emotional difficulty. A short practical course introducing approaches to natural light portraiture. Includes camera settings and best use of inexpensive accessories.

You will learn to:

  • use camera settings and appropriate lenses
  • utilise window light including use of modifiers
  • shoot outdoors with reflectors, flags and scrims
  • use fill-in flash effectively
  • post process in Lightroom and Photoshop

There are no formal assessments, images produced will be reviewed and critiqued during the course

No experience is necessary. You will need your mirrorless, bridge or SLR digital camera. Interchangeable lenses are preferred but not necessary.
