Life Drawing for Adults
Through structured teaching, you’ll explore a range of materials and approaches to this fascinating genre, learning about human anatomy, proportion, tone, line, scale and mark making.
The groups are friendly, and relaxed. Join us to work from the model in a high quality studio environment in a friendly atmosphere!
This course is for all levels of ability
There are a limited number of FREE places available on this course, for those aged 19 and over (at the start of the course) and who either have a mental health condition or difficulty, are employed and earning an annual salary less than £17,004 per annum, in receipt of state benefit in your own name and unemployed or working and earning less than £338 per month (or £541 for household claims), are a single parent, or have a social or emotional difficulty.
This workshop is designed to help you build and expand a solid foundation of life drawing skills, with the end goal being expressive drawings in your own style.
We’ll go through a straightforward and doable drawing process with a set of exercises designed to help you develop your skills and throughout this single, five-hour session.
The workshop is geared to helping you to your next level of competence – and enjoyment – as quickly as possible.
Each person is tutored individually.
You are advised to bring an apron or wear old clothes and bring a packed lunch.
We have drawing tools and all the equipment you will need in our new Arts building studio.
We provide the easels, charcoal, rubbers, boards, and paper so you don’t need to bring anything unless you wish to.
The studio is conveniently situated in Banbury, within a short 10-minutes walk from the centre.
There is also free parking right in front of the new Arts Faculty Building and our new Arts building is fully accessible to everyone.
