Digital Photography – Build Your Skills
This course is designed to follow Digital Photography for Beginners and Digital Photography – the next step. You will build on the techniques and skills you have learnt so far, with an emphasis on developing creative use of your camera.
Come along and share your enthusiasm with a like-minded group. Your tutor will be on hand to assist, so don’t worry about your depth of knowledge.
This course provides no formal qualification but will enable you to develop your personal use of a DSLR camera.
You will learn how to make the most of natural light, work on your composition techniques and alter your viewpoint to show different perspectives.
This course will mix onsite learning in our well-equipped classroom and photographic studio with two off-site photography location shoots (weather permitting).
You will be supported by an industry-experienced tutor, working individually, in pairs, or in a small group. Sharing experience, ideas, and one another’s results, you will learn both with and from your peers.
Optional homework will provide an opportunity to fully benefit from the teaching.
You will need a Digital SLR or Bridge Camera.
It is useful to have a tripod for location work. If you do not have your own, you can borrow one from the College.
Locations and meeting points will be shared during sessions and emailed out to anyone absent from a class.
Our tutor Caroline is an experienced photographer, with 20 years of experience in the publishing industry, and, more recently, a Forest School Leader for primary-age children.
