Learn the wonderful craft of crochet!

This course is suitable for those who have never picked up a hook before or those who are finding it hard to learn at home.

This is your chance to learn a new skill for life! You’ll gain a good level of knowledge to go away and confidently enjoy your new craft at home.

There are a limited number of FREE places available on this course, for those aged 19 and over (at the start of the course) and who either have a mental health condition or difficulty, are employed and earning an annual salary less than £17,004 per annum, in receipt of state benefit in your own name and unemployed or working and earning less than £338 per month (or £541 for household claims), are a single parent, or have a social or emotional difficulty.

You will learn all the basics of crochet from how to hold the hook, all the UK Crochet stitches and how to work in rows and in the round. This course will enable you to learn all the core skills in Crochet.

You will also learn to make granny squares and join them to create your first project.

You will have the opportunity to learn how to select your first chosen crochet project and be guided, with your learnt knowledge, to start your project and have the confidence to go away and finish it at home.

Teaching methods include:

Furthermore, you will get the opportunity to develop your skills according to your own specific needs.

We will provide a 3.5mm and 4mm crochet hook and a darning needle.

Please bring your own double knitting yarn in acrylic.
