Community Wellbeing: Easter Flower Basket
Spend time with our experienced tutor creating your own stunning Easter flower basket arrangement using a selection of seasonal spring flowers or plants, moss and of course eggs! At the end of this workshop, you will have your own unique flower basket to show off to your family and friends and the skills and confidence to make more!
Art and creativity have a positive effect on our mental, emotional and physical wellbeing and our Community Wellbeing programme has been designed to include courses that will develop your skills, knowledge, confidence and improve mental wellbeing.
Our Community Wellbeing programme offers a series of free*, government-funded courses for adults aged 19 and over (at the start of the course).

The course will be taught onsite at our centre in Waingels College. The techniques will be demonstrated by our friendly and experienced tutor. You will be guided all the way until you are happy with your creation.
You will need an apron.
Materials will be supplied but you may wish to bring the following to make your basket more personal:
- 1-2 yards of ribbon in yellow, pale green, turquoise or mixed colours
- embellishments such as plastic eggs, decorative easter bunnies or chicks, ribbons, any decorative easter ornaments
- a long handle woven basket approximately 10-12 inches wide
- sharp scissors or secateurs (pruning clippers)
- wet floral foam
- work gloves
- floral wire
- wire cutter
- moss pins
- floral tape
- hot glue gun
- 2-3 miniature daffodils or tulip potted plants
- natural moss
Please note that this facility is located on Waingels College campus. Access to our building is via a black security gate located directly ahead when you enter Waingels campus. Press the button which says ‘ADULT ED’ on the buzzer and our receptionist will action the gate to open. Our building is on the right-hand side and is clearly marked with the Activate Learning Logo. There is plenty of parking near the building.
This course includes a mid-morning tea break. There is a small kitchen area with tables and chairs, where refreshments and biscuits are available (small charge to cover costs).
