Community Learning: Introduction to Ukrainian

Course overview

This course will support you in being able to speak basic Ukrainian to help you communicate with the Ukrainians you are either hosting or supporting in any capacity. You’ll also learn about the food, culture, and country in a fun, interactive way.

You will cover:

  • The Ukrainian alphabet
  • Introductions and greetings
  • Where you are from and what you do for a living
  • Numbers and time
  • Learning and singing Ukrainian music and songs
  • Learning about basic Ukrainian food and cooking simple traditional dishes in our kitchen at Woodley Hill House

Our Community Learning programme offers a series of free, government-funded courses to develop skills, knowledge, confidence and improve mental wellbeing for adults aged 19 or over (at the start of the course).
