City & Guilds Cert in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification L2 2392-10
Course overview
This Level 2 City & Guilds qualification is designed for practising electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying, or who require some update training before going on to a higher level course (e.g. the 2391) or the AM2.
The course prepares candidates to carry out Initial Verification and Certification of new electrical installation work, and the completion of an Electrical Installation Certificate. It covers the practical application of inspection and testing required to test radial and ring final circuits.
The course is delivered over three days in the classroom by an experienced tutor, and includes practical applications of inspection and testing.
The assessments are carried out on day three.
There is a 100 minute, 50 question online multiple choice exam which is closed book and invigilated. There is also a practical assessment.
There are no formal entry requirements, but entrants must have a basic understanding of electrical science and principles plus suitable experience within the industry prior to taking this course.
Please bring along current copies of IET On-Site Guide to BS7671; IET BS7671:2018+A2:2022, Requirements for Electrical Installations, IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition.
A calculator, notepad, and pens would also be useful.
This course allows candidates to progress on to the City & Guilds 2391 Level 3 courses.
