Book Illustration: Online
Join Book Illustration Online and hone your drawing skills, helping you to develop your own visual language. In this online six weeks course, you will explore and practice with different materials, techniques and approaches, gain confidence in character development, layout and composition and understand the relationship between illustration and text.
Each week will introduce a different topic such as storyboarding, drawing, composition and colour, but the emphasis for the course will be on communicating a story.
You will be shown the work of others in the online classroom, and once you are introduced to the theme there will be practical tasks relating to book illustration. You will be able to work independently with your own materials in the class time, developing and discovering ways to make your project and then share with the group. There will be opportunities for tutor and class discussion and feedback.
