Education and Training: Online Level 3 Award

Course overview

This qualification is appropriate for teachers, tutors and trainers who may be working within an FE college, Adult and Community Learning Centre or Learning Provider and for those delivering work-based training such as within voluntary, community, private and public organisations.

This awards you an introduction to teaching and training and it explores roles and responsibilities associated with the teaching/ training role, in line with our unique learning philosophy.

You will examine how to plan and deliver sessions to engage and motivate learners and establishing ground rules within a learning environment. You will also explore different assessment methods and the need for record keeping.

Please note: This course is delivered exclusively online.

You will learn a range of topics, including:

  • roles, responsibilities and relationships of teachers and trainers in education and training
  • understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
  • understanding assessment in education and training
  • micro teaching for 15 minutes

Teacher training will take place online, with access to excellent learning materials and support.

To apply for this course, you will need GCSEs at Grade 4 (C) or above in English Language and maths or higher, and a Level 3 qualification or higher and/or relevant industry experience in the subject specialism you wish to teach or train in.

You will need to attend an interview and induction session prior to the start of the course.
